Avalon Emerson has ascended to become one of dance music’s most respected DJs and artists. Originally making a name for herself in the storied warehouse scene of her birthplace, San Francisco, before relocating to Berlin in 2013 and immersing herself in its iconic nightlife, Avalon's winding journey has been defined by constant exploration and evolution. This year she'll be releasing her next full-length album Perpetual Emotion Machine' a high-energy collection of songs created for her DJ sets which also marks her debut for Dead Oceans Records.
Sending along the three mysterious words "running river darling" to describe her mix, Avalon Emerson's Midnight in a Perfect World mix is a fascinating journey through her diverse taste, kicking off with a bootleg Dntel remix of Enya, wrapping up with her own bootleg remix of Mk.gee, and journeying through sophisticated pop, post-punk, and high-energy club cuts along the way.
